Terms & Conditions

Please read these Terms and Conditions ("Agreement") carefully before engaging the services of Altus Bookkeeping. This Agreement sets forth the terms and conditions governing the provision of bookkeeping services by Altus Bookkeeping to you, the client.

  1. Services:

    • 1.1 Altus Bookkeeping agrees to provide bookkeeping services as agreed upon with the client. The scope of services will be outlined in a separate agreement or engagement letter.

    • 1.2 Altus Bookkeeping will exercise reasonable care and diligence in performing the agreed-upon bookkeeping services, utilizing professional knowledge and expertise.

  2. Client Responsibilities:

    • 2.1 The client agrees to provide accurate and complete information necessary for Altus Bookkeeping to perform the services effectively.

    • 2.2 The client is responsible for maintaining backup copies of all original financial documents provided to Altus Bookkeeping for bookkeeping purposes.

    • 2.3 The client understands that Altus Bookkeeping relies on the accuracy and completeness of the information provided by the client and shall not be held liable for any errors or omissions resulting from incomplete or inaccurate information.

  3. Fees and Payment:

    • 3.1 The client agrees to pay Altus Bookkeeping the agreed-upon fees for the provision of bookkeeping services. Fees will be outlined in the separate agreement or engagement letter.

    • 3.2 All fees and charges are subject to 10% GST (Goods & Services Tax), which shall be the responsibility of the client.

    • 3.3 Payment terms and methods will be outlined in the separate agreement or engagement letter. Late payments may be subject to interest charges or suspension of services.

  4. Confidentiality:

    • 4.1 Altus Bookkeeping acknowledges that it may have access to confidential and proprietary information of the client during the provision of bookkeeping services.

    • 4.2 Altus Bookkeeping agrees to maintain the confidentiality of all client information and shall not disclose or use such information for any purpose other than providing the agreed-upon bookkeeping services, unless required by law.

    • 4.3 The client acknowledges that Altus Bookkeeping may engage the services of third-party contractors or service providers. Altus Bookkeeping will ensure that such third parties are bound by confidentiality obligations.

  5. Limitation of Liability:

    • 5.1 Altus Bookkeeping shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising out of or in connection with the provision of bookkeeping services, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or business opportunities.

    • 5.2 Altus Bookkeeping's liability for any direct damages shall be limited to the fees paid by the client for the specific bookkeeping services giving rise to the claim.

  6. Termination:

    • 6.1 Either party may terminate this Agreement with written notice to the other party.

    • 6.2 In the event of termination, the client shall pay Altus Bookkeeping for all services provided up to the termination date, and any outstanding fees or expenses.

  7. Governing Law and Jurisdiction: This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Australia. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with this Agreement shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Australia.

  8. Entire Agreement: This Agreement constitutes the entire agreement between Altus Bookkeeping and the client and supersedes all prior understandings, whether written or oral, relating to the subject matter herein.

By engaging the services of Altus Bookkeeping, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
